The Education Technologies Analyst will have primary responsibility for projects that enable the use of learning technologies to design, deliver or enhance CME content delivered through various formats. The role will lead the UCSF CME eLearning program and to implement and maintain the necessary information and learning technology resources, including a learning management system (LMS), the unit’s content and document management systems, web-based courses, computer-based testing and educational multimedia used by the School of Medicine’s continuing medical education programs for marketing and delivering curricular content. The incumbent also serves to lead the use of content management systems, making recommendations for products including software and hardware to facilitate technology-enabled learning; consults with course chairs, and accreditation and conference management team leaders in best practices for delivering and managing eLearning content and analyzing activity outcomes. The incumbent will promote models of course organization that make effective use of eLearning. This includes working with instructional designers or subject matter experts to plan and scope requirements for curriculum, to contribute to storyboarding and to develop real-time and asynchronous content, consider options for blended learning solutions, and develop and implement appropriate assessment strategies. In addition, the Educational Technologies Analyst will oversee and consult on the administration of the CME and eLearning website(s), promote and coordinate the use of classroom technologies and assist with other information and learning technologies as needed.
